Crawl or never crawl?

Crawling helps your baby strengthen her muscles enough to walk and is her first way of getting around efficiently on her own. Most babies learn to crawl between six to 10 months. But some children never crawl, instead opting for bottom shuffling, slithering on their stomach, or moving directly to pulling up, standing, and walking.

These couple of months, all people says Qin very lazy…..coz everytime adult trying to place my toys just beyond my reach and encourage me to crawling to reach and grab the toys myself. But I will just crying to wait them to give it to me…..then Popo will says to Mummy “ 你 女 儿很 懒惰 的 啦。。。” Previously, Qin would try to move backward on her stomach but only for few second because Qin doesn’t like to do.

Recently, Qin gradually learns to move from sitting position to crawling, and learn to balance on her hands and knees. Then Qin will figure out how to move forward and backward by pushing off with her knees. Qin now learning to go from a crawling position back into a sitting position. …..Gambateh!!!

Pneumococcal Vaccination (Booster)

Qin had her Pneumococcal booster jab taken this morning. This would be her final Pneumococcal jab and before this, Qin has already been given 3 doses altogether since after Qin was admitted to the hospital for almost two weeks due to Meningitis when she was only three month old.
Each jab cost us RM280.00 and that totalled up to approximately RM1,120 inclusive of this booster jab to protect our princess Qin from the Pneumococcal disease which Mummy would said is definitely worth the price.

Dr. Shan Chee said that Qin’s weight is ok with a slight increase measuring at 7.8kg. And the next appointment would be the chicken pox vaccination.

**What is Pneumococcal Disease? Pneumococcal diseases are actually infections caused by the bacterium known as pneumococcus. It is a group of serious infections that occurs most commonly in children, particularly those under 2 years of age. These pneumococcus bug can cause Meningitis (infection of the lining of the brain or spinal cord), Bacteraemia (blood infection), Pneumonia (lungs infection), as well as Otitis Media (middle ear infection).**
**How serious is Pneumococcal Disease? It can be very serious that cause permanent hearing loss, brain damage and even death. Besides, it can impact the quality of life for a child and the entire family. There are many cases being reported through various media whereby parents have lost their beloved children due to these deadly disease.**

Ikan Bilis Powder

This is how Mummy prepare the Dried Ikan Bilis into powder.
1. Mummy soak them in clean tap water for overnite, changing the water many times throughout. Because ikan bilis too much salt and preservatives used to preserve them and the method of drying can be quite unhygenic.
2. Then drain and leave them on a sift to drip excess water.
3. Using a pan fried, after heating it up, Mummy fry the ikan bilis without oil with very small fire.
4. Keeps stirring throughout to ensure even drying.

5. Once the fish sounds hard, usually after about 20mins. Then remove the pan from fire and spread the fish evenly on a plate with paper towel. Leave to cool at a clean place.
6. When the fish has been cooled down or feel less warm from frying, put it into a grinder and grind them into powdery form. Then store this powder in a tupperware.

Can adding it to my porridge....hehehe....
